About
Canberra Grammar’s new Auditorium complex will be a space for conferences, professional learning, and music concerts. It comprises of a central acoustically tuned concert hall with seating capacity of 1000 and adjoining gallery wings containing 400 seats.
Cappello’s work includes bulk earthworks and excavation for multiple levels of the auditorium along with the gallery wings, and boring of approx 86 piers in rocky conditions where the layer of rock can reach 14m in depth. Cappello is also undertaking over 1500m² of shotcreting.
